چکیده

• Impact of marshy area reclamation by various vegetations on soil nematode community was investigated. Nematode abundance lowered mostly due to bacterivores. Reclamation effectively diminished the metabolic footprint. Robust management strategies must be adapted for conservation and protection ecosystems. Marshy areas are ecologically important sensitive which under immense pressure, such as terrestrial vegetations. However, how these vegetation types disrupt stability is scarce. The present study determined responded shifting environmental states using abundances, indices footprints indicators. In this context, we selected three reclaimed around a land (MR) in Dachigam National Park, Kashmir, includes grassland (GL), forest (FR) cropland (CL) investigate community. Acrobeloides, Plectus, Eudorylaimus, Aphelenchus proved more effect. Results revealed decrease total bacterivore abundance. reduced diversity CL, whereas no effect observed GL FR compared MR. Channel index indicated shift from fungal decomposition bacterial pathway GL. faunal profile depicted (GL) most structured ecosystem MR, FR, CL. Our results suggest that type regulates structure, function, food web, has significant implications managing cover sustainable manner Park.

Nematode community structure in a vineyard soil.

Distribution of the nematode community in a California vineyard was studied over a 13-month period. Omnivorous and microbivorous nematodes were similarly distributed in the root zone, with greatest densities occurring between vine rows and near the soil surface. Greatest densities of plant-parasitic nematodes were found in the vine row, with the individual species differing in their vertical di...
